Week 4

Days 1 to 5
Learning the software and seeing my artwork come to be has been very cool. I am loving the course, and the teacher does a realy good job. I must say my favorite it the doughnut. I just want to eat it up, even though I do not eat doughnuts.
Days 6 to 10
This weeks lessons were more challenging. I was very frustrated with the acorn, I could not find the right shading for the cap. That one would have been my favorite had I gotten that shading right. As it stands now, it looks like a fingerprint on the cap. I did not care for the cactus either it looks like a watermelon in the shape of a cactus. The leaf, the poppy, and the mushrooms were my favorite for the week. I also had to download a brush that my version did not have. I had a few challenges. I hope the more I use procreate and go through the lessons the more familiar I become with it and the better I get. Otherwise it was a good week of challenges.
Days 11 - 15
It was challenging to get in, but I found it to be enjoyable. It has been fun learing the the different brushes as well as layering. I think learning the software has been cool. I enjoyed each project with the different skills that were being taught. When I look at what I have created so far. It has been fulfilling.
Days 16 - 20
I learned through this course that I enjoy making things that have feeling. I am not a messy artist. When asked to be messy, I try to make it not so messy. I tend to work against the art that I am suppose to be experiencing. Having said that. It has been good to explore other art forms and to learn procreate. I plan to take volume 2 to keep working on my skills and learning procreate better. I enjoyed the alarm clock and the ukulele the best. I deviated slightly from the the teacher with the ukelele because I had my own picture that I was working from which I found empowering. I want to get to the place that I can imagine it myself and take a picture or thought and be able to create without someone holding my hand. I presume that will come in time. Enjoyed the course thoroughly.
