I really wanted to title this as failed experiment! This was watercolor and watercolor paint pens and prisma colored pencil. Was doing from memory and a bit strange to use color when the reference is very neutral. Definetly wrong paper for colored pencils. Was more like a speckled reptile skin painting the tree so I went over the tree lightly with my w/c paint pen.

Posting it anyway and lessons learned. Wrong paper.  Too light colors.  I really hate it and it may go in the bin!    

 

Maybe I try the gouache version but I don't think so.
