I used the reference photo to do this painting after watching the lessons. The sponge painting added a certain airiness to the tree foliage. I also added some flowers in the foreground using an opaque watercolour to give it a springlike feeling.I enjoyed this project but found the background challenging. I added some extra layers of dark paint to make the bottom half dark and uniform.
