Watercolor portrait using 4 color

Watercolor portrait using 4 color - student project

Hi, I'm Veronica. I tried painting this portrait on Meeden cold-pressed paper. For me, who usually paints on satin paper, it was really difficult. I redid this painting four times... but I'm very willing, as long as I wanted to learn by experimenting with Master Jane's technique. Her advice, as always, was very helpful and generous. After several experiments, I figured out how to blend. I'm not entirely satisfied because I always feel like I'm creating dirty colors. But everything was a great lesson. For colors, I used Indian yellow, quinacridone red, ultramarine blue, and, to help me with the darks, sepia. Thank you so much for this class. I’ll try again this technique.
