Hey Chris, This past summer I spent my recovery time writing a family ancestry book from my mother’s side.  It dates 5 generations and turned out with some wonderful family stories. After finishing the book, my husband and I took my 91 year old mom on an 1100 mile road trip, visiting four states and many of the locations my mom’s family was from. The scenery was absolutely beautiful and I took hundreds of photos.  This class was the perfect opportunity to capture those memories in my paintings.  The painting of the church is from Grangeville Idaho, a small town my grandfather traveled when playing music with his family.  It’s a very small town but we had lunch at the only place open in town. It sat across the street from this church.  I cheated on the 2nd painting, I didn’t paint it postcard size as I really wanted to try it out in frame size.  It was a scene from a small cabin we rented at the end of our trip in the Olympic peninsula near Port Angeles Washington.  It was in a beautiful remote location with a small pond with provided kayaks.  Needless to say, we had a fabulous trip, and it was so fun to paint these today.  Thanks for offering this fun class!  :):):) Might do some more postcards!  P.S.
