Watercolor & Ink Feathers

Here's what the page looked like when the four ink-then-watercolor feathers at the top were done, and the watercolor-then-ink feathers hadn't been inked yet:

And here's what the page looked like after I'd added ink to the 5 watercolor-then-ink feathers:

I'm not sure the ink is actually an improvement on the watercolor-first feathers? I like adding details, but those feathers look a little more stiff to me than the ink-first ones at the top. Mostly what this exercise shows me is that I'm still kind-of at a loss for how to approach watercolor-then-ink drawings, and I have a LOT more learning and practicing to do there! I will re-watch the part of the class that's dedicated to this. Hopefully this teacher offers a class that dives even deeper into how to approach watercolor-first drawings - I will look.

I had so much fun with this. Thank you, Yasmina!
