Walking habit

I'm a rebel personality type and don't do well with a lot of rules, structure, or accountability requirements, so I created a walking habit that works great for me that's as easy as possible to maintain--I just walk every day, period. I made it part of my identity and personality. There is no distance, time, or speed requirement, but I walk every day without fail and have been for over 7 months now. Sometimes it's 1/10 of a mile at 4 AM, sometimes it's 4 miles or more at a faster (for me) pace, but either way, I just walk every day. I have no zeroes in my chart, for the first time in my life, and I know I can sustain this. To make it more enjoyable, I walk to music (eyes closed, holding on to the hand rails on my treadmill), and I often add spa treatments, too--luxurious lotion on my hands and cotton gloves, a yummy lip balm, a scalp treatment, whatever. It's like a mini spa vacation every day just for me, and I love it.
