Virtual Life Streamed City-Tour of Vienna using Zoom

Virtual Life Streamed City-Tour of Vienna using Zoom - student project

Objective:

How to create an international, lifestreamed city tour using zoom..

How to engage the audience and make it fun during the ride.

How to be interactive

How to get familiar with all the functions of zoom

Look and sound: could you improve how you look and sound on camera?

LOOK: hmm, maybe the softening features. Would the work from my iphone and would that go well with a city tour, when I shift back a forth between the city view and myself as commentator

SOUND: I think its ok, I use headphones.

....

Audience Activity at the beginning?

Asking my Audience what the associations they have with Vienna so far.

Who has been to Vienna already

Interactive activities: what activities could you add during the virtual meeting to keep your participants interested and actively engaged?

During parts of the tour where I am hopping from one site to the next without soo much to see, I could encourage questions.

Maybe crack a joke

Are there any Zoom functions you could make more use of such as breakout rooms and polls?

I once did a tour for a Singapore company and they had a license with Kahoot, and online quiz play, and we opened up the tour with a great quiz of Austria. It was so much fun, everybody loved it. There were 3 winners. The only thing, when I looked into Kahoot, I realized that it is quite costly, a business license is 50 EUR/Month.

Is there a quiz that you know that is free or rather inexpensive?

Closings: could you close with more of a flourish?

Nice Thank you for participation and ask if they would consider coming to Vienna with their families after the pandemic

 QUESTIONS FOR ANGELA AND TREENA:

I have already been doing life virtual city tours for over a year, but so far  I was always cohost.. The host would be an international company typically.

Lately - still not out of the pandemic- virtual city tours have gained momentum and I would love to become better and more savy with zoom.

Question:

1) Can I be the meeting host and the employee from the company that hires me and does the introduction be the Co-host? Or is it better the other way round?

2) If it is 200 participants and I ask them something, while showing the city, can I put them on gallery and then later get them back and I am the center frame again?

3) If they are on gallery view on my cell phone, will everybody have the same gallery view - or is this local to my cell?

4) Can people pin me and that is it? They will always just see me?

5) Can I add some Christmas music while checking everybody in?

6) Can my co-host show some slides during a part of the tour, where I wrap up my tripod?
