Updated Fall & Winter Landscape

UPDATE:  Hi Zuleyha, I updated my Fall painting.  I decided to try and fade the background trees some.  I added more distant mountains and some trees in front to tone down the bright colors. I also added a different color orange to large tree.  I wasn’t happy with the brightness of the orange I created.  Overall I think it helped. D:)

Thank you so much Zuleyha.  Your classes are so easy to follow and organized.  Your demo you show at the start of each video is very helpful.  Here is my Winter painting.

WINTER Landscape

This time I followed more in line with your painting & I do believe I finally succeeded in doing wet on wet for the background trees & sky.  I did use Saunders Waterford 100% cotton for the first time, instead of Arches 100%.  I will have to use it a few more times to see if I like it better, but it sure worked great for me this time.

I veered from your painting some, as sometimes I just get an itch to add something here or there.  It helps me stretch my imagination and comfort zone.

I am overall quite pleased with this painting!  Thank you for responding back to me so quickly about my Fall Landscape.  Your tips were very helpful as were Gales.

FALL Landscape

I had a fall picture in my collection so I thought I would use it.  My photo (shown below), was too different then what you were painting so I had a harder time following along. Lot’s of pausing, ffw & rewind. :) :). Wish I would have removed some parts of the photo when I sketched it out. Think I will stick to your photos on the next 3 seasons.

Although I looked to my photo for reference, I don’t think I got the shading and shadows correct.  I’m not fond of it, but I don’t know what I could have changed, except not painting the whole scene. Any ideas?  I am so open for suggestions!  I love your winter scene, so I think that will be my next venture for this class.

You have a great teaching style and I love your work.
