Unlock Inner Artist

My first attempt (above) was done on rough paper which gave a very textured look using a bamboo brush. After using stencils with the Kuretake paint, I embellished with gold mica and a reddish fountain pen ink since the Kuretake paints were so subtle on this paper.Unlock Inner Artist - image 1 - student project

Next I switched to cold press cotton and used a 1/4" dagger striper brush with some Daniel Smith and DaVinci watercolors. This time I used acrylic paint with the stencils, then used my fude dip pen with a brown fountain pen ink on top. (this image is upside down, and I couldn't fix it, though it probably doesn't really matter:)

Thanks for another fun and inspiring class Denise!
