Wow so beautiful Melina!!Both of them are very pretty!!I love the under water and beautiful sky blend so smooth!!Arches is always the best paper!!

They both turned out beautiful. You are right the Etchr results are more vibrant, but the granulation in the sky on the arches paper is very lovely. I have not had success with watercolor on Etchr, big applause to you!  :)

Thank you so much, Diana! I wanted to try it on Etchr paper thinking it would be easier, but it wasn't, haha. Anyway, the disappointment was worth it because I got to see the result on two different papers.

Don’t be disappointed at all. These are both successful just different results which is to be expected :)

Very pretty! Interesting seeing how the different paper reacted. Trial one is a bit more vibrant but I like how they both turned out!

Thanks Teresa! Yes, interesting and surprising, haha, because I was betting that with Arches paper everything would be easier. I reckon the high temperatures we're having in Buenos Aires aren't helping, since the paper was drying out very quickly.

Noelia, I love Arches, but I have the opposite problem is we have cold winters, and the furnace runs and the house is dry! I find my paper dries quite quickly, it is an ongoing battle!

Here are my two projects.

The first one I did on Etchr cold-pressed paper, 300 gsm, 100% wood pulp paper, A5.

I wasn't happy with the result; I had some problems and it was difficult to correct because the paper didn't have any cotton.
So I decided to do a second attempt. This time on Arches cold-pressed paper, 300 gsm, 100% cotton, A5.
It turns out I like the first version better... haha, I feel like the colors came out more vibrant! First Attempt
