this is a lovely pattern. Nice palette. I only have one critique which is to remove the fill of white lines and dots from the outline only motifs. i think this would be a subtle but interesting difference.

    I originally created the pattern without the lines and dots. It sat a little flat. The lines and dots made the elements pop and made for a much stronger pattern.  Perhaps I might have tried different filling elements in the background.

Perhaps you misunderstood my comment.  I like the white lines and dots.  But I think there would be more interest to the pattern if you removed the lines and dots from the outline only motifs.

Oh! I see what you mean. Yes, you are probably correct that would look good. Thanks for the clarification.

i love your patterns. I just love the fun, loose quality of movement it displays. I like the mix of solid and outline of your motifs

Thank you. I appreciate your kind words. Most of my experience with surface pattern design is in juvenile design. I guess a baby girl body suit or perhaps a dress. I've added a bodysuit mock up to my project.

Good class on pattern design theory. Enjoyed seeing your process. This pattern was created with a diamond design. I agree that using a diamond design tend to hide the repeat well.
