I happened to have a brown paper sketchbook that I had made while taking Olga Bonitas' class, and it was perfect for these tonal studies!

 

I began with the clematis, using only white and brown ink. After the brown ink went down, I felt that it needed more leaves, so I used black ink to carve out extra leaves where the brown ink was. I really liked this effect, so I continued to use all 3 inks for the rest of the studies. I loved exploring this technique Ohn Mar, thanks for another wonderful class. :)
