This was fun!
Hi Julia,
This was my first class by you and also my first Skillshare class! I very much enjoyed it so thanks a lot :)
I'm also pretty happy with the end result, especially considering I'm new to gouache and I only had a starterset with blue, yellow, red, white and black paint to work with. Definitely improved my colour mixing skills!
I'm very open to feedback so if you have any suggestions for improvement, feel free to share :)
I also have one question. When going in with coloured pencils, I noticed my paper felt quite 'saturated' already and the colours of the pencils didn't really 'pop' or provide that extra layer of texture that I was looking for. It just became a little 'waxy'. Any idea what the issue could be here? And could it help if your pencils aren't sharpened that much?
I used Faber Castell Polychromos pencils (they were new and came straight out of the box though, not sure if that matters), on 250 g/m² mixed media paper (fine grain) with Talens gouache.
Thanks again for a great class, will definitely follow some more!
Emma
