EXT. CAR PARK - DAY

Steve is walking through the car park with his headphones on listening to rock music.

STEVE (V.O)

When I first listened to rock music, I knew I wanted to play bass and start a rock band. I just had to find three other suckers to join me.

Steve stops before walking through the back entrance to the pub and looks a the camera.

STEVE

(Looking at the CAMERA)

Saturday night at our local, best night of the week. There is always a band on and the place is always fully packed. This weekend was no different.

Steve enters the pub and goes to sit with three other guys.

INT. PUB DAY

Four young guys are sitting in the corner, CARL, ANDY, ROB and STEVE, drinking and laughing. They are all the same age, 19, they all look tired and hungover.

CARL

Another round

STEVE (V.O)

That going to the bar is Carl he's the drummer. Great friend, can be hard to handle at times, loves the ladies and his alcohol.

ANDY

Just a coke for me please.

STEVE (V.O)

That ordering a coke is Andy, he's our guitarist, bit of a lightweight. Great guy, best friend, always has my back.

ROB

I will have a cider please, and I do believe music is in order.

STEVE (V.O)

That's Rob he's our lead singer. Quiet guy, real family person, doesn't really drink a lot.

STEVE

I'll have a pint please.

STEVE (V.O)

I'm Steve and I'm the bassist. I had the idea for the band, and we are known as The Rockers, and last 

night was our night.

MAIN CREDITS

INT. MUSIC STORE MORNING

Rob and Steve are walking around the store looking at bass guitar. Steve looks at a couple and sees the prices and wanders away. One of the Sales people is playing a guitar like he is a pro.

ROB

Mate why are we here, you have loads already.

STEVE

I know, I just want to add to my collection.

ROB

Ahh okay, but dude we need to get ready for tonight.

STEVE

Rob everything for tonight is sorted. We turn up at the waterfront at seven get ready, let motormouth warm up the crowd and rock the night away. Stop worrying all the time.

The sales person, who was playing the guitar, goes over to Rob and Steve, tall guy, large build.

SALES PERSON

How can I help?

STEVE

Just looking thanks.

SALES PERSON

No worries. Sorry to be nosy did I hear you say Motormouth.

ROB

Yes why?

SALES PERSON

Well I am the guitarist of Motormouth. I'm Alex nice to meet you.

STEVE

Im Steve, this is Rob we are in the band The Rockers, nice to meet you to.

ALEX

Yes, I thought I recognised you when you walked in. I saw you play a couple of weeks ago at the King Edward, you're really good.

STEVE

Thanks man, unfortunately I haven't heard much about your band.

ALEX

Well we just recently got back together, we used to perform under Rage Cage.

ROB

Yeah I've heard of them, I saw you play the waterfront last year, as a support act you were brilliant.

ALEX

Thanks dude, well I better get back to work, pleasure meeting you both and see you tonight.

Alex walks off back to the counter and Rob and Steve walk out of the store.

EXT. BUS STATION DAY

Carl is waiting for the bus home, when he sees two attractive brunette girls sitting at the same stop. He goes over to talk to them and tries to use his charm on them.

CARL

Hey ladies.

BRUNETTE 1

Hi

CARL

I'm Carl, and who are you lovely ladies.

BRUNETTE 1

I'm Amy and this is my step sister Sarah.

CARL

Lovely to meet you both. Do you like rock music?

SARAH

Yeah we both do.

CARL

Well I'm a drummer in a rock band, fancy coming to watch us play tonight, at the waterfront.

AMY

Yeah sounds good. What time?

Sarah gives Amy a weird look, and talks to her privately

SARAH

(Whispers)

Amy what you doing, we don't know this guy. I don't trust him.

AMY

I know, but he’s hot.

Carl smiles to himself when he hears Amy say that.

CARL

Carl gets on his bus, and smiles at the girls as the bus pulls away.

INT. ANDY'S KITCHEN DAY

Andy is in his kitchen, making a cup of tea with his shirt off and his tracksuit bottoms on, there is a tattoo of The Rockers on his right shoulder blade. Stacey walks up behind him and kisses him on the neck.

ANDY

Morning beautiful.

STACEY

Morning hun.

ANDY

What you want to do today?

STACEY

I'm going to meet Laura and Abby for lunch they want a catch up.

ANDY

I was gonna take you for lunch, but that can wait.

STACEY

You're a sweetheart, but we need to be careful still cause I don't want Rob finding out just yet.

Andy turns away and drops his head like he is angry and upset.

ANDY

It has been two months now, I like you a lot and I feel bad enough that I haven't told Rob already.

STACEY

I like you a lot to. Okay we’ll tell him in the next few day. Just not today, because you have your gig tonight, and you all need to be focused.

ANDY

Okay, I agree. Tonight is important, there is going to be an agent and a record producer there as well, and we have to make a good impression.

STACEY

We’ll tell him soon tho, I promise. We just have to be careful. You know what Rob is like.

ANDY

I know, but...

STACEY

Andy after Tory left he has looked after me with the help of Aunty Pam. I'm just scared he will hate me, cause Tory slept with one of his friends.

ANDY

Stacey, you are not like her. She beat Rob every day, and took drugs and had sex in front of you both.

STACEY

I know, I just don't want to disappoint him.

ANDY

He’ll be fine.

STACEY

I hope so, I think I will go and see Aunty Pam this afternoon.

Stacey walks in the living room, dropping her top at the door seductively, Andy follows her and closes the door.

INT.PUB DAY

Steve and Rob are playing pool and talking about the night ahead.

ROB

Tonight will be awesome.

STEVE

Yeppers, its gonna be great.

ROB

You wanna another drink?

STEVE

Yes please mate, I'm just gonna go to the toilet.

As Steve gets to the window where his phone is, he sees Carl getting off the bus and walking in the direction of the pub, Steve runs outside and goes to get him.

EXT. STREET DAY

STEVE (CONT'D)

Yo Carl you coming in for a drink.

CARL

Hey man, yeah sounds good and who are you with.

STEVE

Just Rob at the moment.

CARL

Ah old four eyes, how is he?

STEVE

I think he’s nervous about tonight.

CARL

Nothing to be nervous about, I'll just have a smoke. Then I’ll be in.

STEVE

Okay, no worries.

Carl sits on the step of the pub smoking, when he looks up and see's a poster on the local notice board showing that The Rockers are playing at the waterfront, he smiles to himself and goes into the pub.

INT.PUB DAY

CARL

What's up four eyes?

ROB

What's up douche bag?

CARL

Touché, been to the city, met two lovely ladies and invited them tonight.

ROB

Fair enough mate, but you seriously need to stop with all the girls.

CARL

Nah mate we’re only young once. They are step sisters, so that is one I can cross off the list.

ROB

You are just wrong man, they’ll never agree to it.

CARL

That's what alcohol is for my friend.

Rob just walks away with a cigarette in hand, through the side entrance to the back bar, as Steve makes his way round from the other side.

STEVE

Where's Rob?

CARL

I think I upset him, so he went for a cigarette.

STEVE

Oh, what did you say.

CARL

I was telling him about the girls I met today.

STEVE

Not that again.

CARL

Not what again?

STEVE

The whole girl situation.

CARL

I can't help the fact I enjoy the ladies and he hasn't experienced them yet.

STEVE

Mate that's harsh, he’s waiting for the right girl.

CARL

I know and I respect that, but I don't go on at him for being a virgin.

STEVE

Mate that’s different, just tone it down around him please.

CARL

Okay will do.

As Andy walks in puts some money on the pool table.

ANDY

What up bitches, who fancies losing at pool?

CARL

Mate you're shit at pool, what you chatting about.

ANDY

I've won every singles game I have played this year in the league.

CARL

They all let you win.

ANDY

I'll tell you what I will play one handed and still kick your arse.

CARL

Your on, wanna drink first?

ANDY

Rum and coke please.

CARL

Andy, have I got a story for you.

ANDY

If it's about the two girls in Norwich, Robs already told me.

CARL

What a spoil sport, well one for me and one for you.

ANDY

No thanks, I'm happy at the moment.

CARL

Fine. I will try and have them both at the same time.

ANDY

Mate they are step sisters that's not good. Plus I hear Laura and Stacey are coming so good luck.

CARL

Great, just what I need stalker girl, getting in my way of the step sisters. I just won't put her on the list to come back stage.

Andy and Steve just laugh at Carl. Rob walks in and takes one look at Carl and just bursts out laughing.

CARL

What you laughing at?

ROB

The fact you have a stalker, and you aren't the only other person who can put names on the list.

CARL

You wouldn't dare? You have Stacey and I know the other two wouldn't.

ROB

Mate, that's what you think?

Rob gives an evil smile. Andy and Steve burst out laughing again.

CARL

You guys are evil bastards, now are we playing pool or not.

ANDY

Of course, but I'm going to let you guys play, as you all need practice.

Andy heads to the bar, leaving Steve to set up the pool table. Rob goes to the toilet and Carl goes to put music on.

As Steve pots the black ball Carl spots Stacey and Abby walking past the window. He rushes out of the door.

CARL

Gotta go.

ROB

(Shouting)

Where you off to?

ANDY

Let's face if it’s Abby, no chance of an answer.

As Steve puts his phone on the window sill, to get signal.He catches a glance of Carl, Steve chuckles to himself once he sees who it is Carl is talking to.

STEVE

Another round boys?

ANDY

Yeah why not, How about I kick your arse at pool Rob.

ROB

I’m up for it, I will kick your arse.

ANDY

Mate your dad beat your mum, more times than you’ve beat me.

ROB

Man, don't speak about my parents like that again.

ANDY

Sorry mate, just slipped out.

ROB

That's what your ex said.

STEVE

Good come back sir.

Rob is not to impressed, but all three of them start laughing at the same time.

ROB

Fancy placing a wager on it.

ANDY

Yeah what you thinking.

ROB

How about a tenner.

ANDY

You’re on. Steve can referee the game properly to make sure you don't cheat.

ROB

Bugger off, you’re the one that always cheats.

Rob and Andy shake on it, Steve sets the balls up, flips the coin. Andy wins the toss and lets Rob break. 

EXT. STREET DAY

Carl runs after Stacey and Abby.

CARL

Hey girls wait up.

ABBY

What you want?

CARL

I want you.

STACEY

Carl, we are going to see Laura, so leave us alone.

CARL

We’ll I wasn’t talking to you anyway.

ABBY

Be nice Carl, otherwise you won’t get anything.

CARL

I’m sorry.

ABBY

That’s better. Staceys right we are off to see Laura, sorry.

CARL

Well I’ll walk with you both.

Carl joins them and keeps flirting with Abby.

STACEY

I need to see Pam, so I will do that, we can catch up later.

ABBY

Ok no worries, see you soon.

Carl smiles as Stacey leaves.

INT. PUB. DAY

Rock music is playing.

Rob pots the black ball, Andy has his head in his hands.

ROB

Well well well, look who got beaten.

ANDY

Yeah yeah what ever, their you go.

ROB

Pleasure doing business with you. I better go and get ready for tonight.

STEVE

Yeah better head off and get ready for as well.

EXT. STREET DAY

Steve, Andy and Rob are leaving the pub and heading in the direction of the local kebab shop. When they get there, they can see that the front window has been boarded up.

ANDY

Anyone hungry?

ROB

Can you still afford it mate, after losing. I'm cooking for me and Stacey

STEVE

Yes, chicken burger and chips please.

ANDY

Good choice, might have to join you in that. You got lucky Rob. I will beat you next time.

ROB

Yeah, I look forward to kicking your butt again, I'm off, speak to you both later.

STEVE

See you tonight, will see you at mine about 6

ROB

Okay see you then.

When Steve and Andy go in to the kebab they hear a lot of commotion coming from the back. One the employees comes out to serve them.

ANDY

Can I please have 2 chicken burger and chips please. Also what happened to the window.

KEBAB MAN

Some drunk man was coming from the pub last night, and tripped over the curb and went through the window.

STEVE

He must of been pretty drunk, is he okay.

KEBAB MAN

I don't know but there was blood every where.

ANDY

That must of been after we left the pub.

KEBAB MAN

Here is your order, enjoy boys.

STEVE

Cheers bud.

INT. PAMS KITCHEN. DAY

PAM 40s, caring, kind hearted, loves helping people. 

Bright, modern, there are pictures of Steve on the wall.

There’s a knock at the door, Pam rushes to see who it is.

PAM

Hello Stacey.

STACEY

Hello Pam.

PAM

Come in.

STACEY

Thank you.

Pam ushers Stacey into the kitchen.

PAM

Well this is a pleasant surprise, would you like a drink?

STACEY

No I’m fine thanks.

PAM

So what's been going on with you?

STACEY

Not much, I need some advice.

PAM

Of course Stacey, that's what I'm here for.

STACEY

Well I have started to date someone and he wants to tell Rob. I don't because I’m scared he will flip out and hate me like Tory.

PAM

Who’s the lucky boy?

STACEY

It's Andy.

PAM

He’s a nice chap.

STACEY

Thanks, but he’s one of Robs best friends.

PAM

Yes I see your problem. Well I think you need to tell him sooner or later, but you need to do it at the right moment.

STACEY

I know, I told Andy that. He wanted to tell him today, but with tonight I told him no.

PAM

Tonight’s not good. Just don't let him catch you sneaking around, cause that would upset him.

STACEY

I know, I'm scared he's gonna hate me anyway.

PAM

You will be fine. Just be sensitive when you tell him and let him know gently.

STACEY

Thanks Pam, and thanks for listening.

PAM

That's okay, good luck and hope you have fun tonight.

STACEY

Thank you and I better go and get ready.

PAM

Okay, well hope you have fun and hope the boys perform well.

Stacey hugs Pam, leaves and starts heading home.

EXT. PARK. DAY

Andy and Steve are sitting on the swings eating away, and talking. Andy chucks his rubbish in to the bin which is about 5 feet from where he is sitting, and starts to swing like a little kid. Steve is chucking chips to the birds for them to eat.

STEVE

I'm really looking forward to tonight, but nervous.

ANDY

Me too, atmosphere will be amazing though.

STEVE

I know, just gonna be weird playing in our pub for the first time.

ANDY

I know, do you think we’ll tour one day?

STEVE

If we impress the producer tonight, I am 100% positive it won't be long before we get noticed.

ANDY

That would be awesome, get away from this shitty place.

STEVE

Yeah, just got to keep working hard, our dreams will come true.

ANDY

As long as Carl can keep his penis in his pants.

Andy and Steve both burst out laughing.

ANDY

Anyway better get home got some cleaning to do, will see you tonight?

STEVE

Yeah, see you later.

Steve and Andy go there seperate ways.

EXT. STREET DAY

It is quiet, a few cars parked on the side of the road.

Andy is not looking where he is going, when he bumps into Stacey.

STACEY

Hey sexy.

ANDY

Hello gorgeous, why didn't you come in the pub?

STACEY

Well I wouldn't be able to keep my hands off you, and I was going to Laura's with Abby until Carl interrupted us.

ANDY

Ah fair enough, can we go to the park and talk.

Stacey looks a little worried but agrees. Stacey and Andy start heading back to the park, to talk.

ANDY

It's nothing to worry about.

STACEY

Okay.

ANDY

Actually you wanna go to mine, as I got some things to do before tonight.

STACEY

Yeah sure, sounds good.

Andy and Stacey walk back to Andy's, and they keep talking as they make their way to Andy's house.

EXT. STEVES DRIVE

Steve gets home and his mum Pam is getting out of the car.

STEVE

Hi mum, Where have you been?

PAM

No where, just been cleaning the car. You looking forward to tonight?

STEVE

Yeah, just nervous.

PAM

It's good to have nerves.

STEVE

I know, you aren't coming tonight are you?

PAM

No Steve I will be staying at home, so don't worry.

STEVE

Okay, thank you.

PAM

Its okay. Although I would like to see you play.

STEVE

Not tonight mum.

PAM

I understand it is a big night.

Steve gives her a hug, and walks into the house.

EXT. ANDYS HOUSE. DAY

ANDY

Thanks for the talk.

STACEY

No worries.

Andy hugs Stacey and kisses her on the cheek.

ANDY

Thank you.

As Andy walks to his door, Stacey grabs his arm, pulls him back and gives him a proper kiss on the lips. They end up going in to Andy's house making out with each other.

EXT. ALLEY WAY.

Carl and Abby walk through the shortcut to his house. Carl lights up a cigarette and Abby pulls a bag of pills out of her purse.

CARL

Hey wanna share?

ABBY

Sounds good to me, wanna pill?

CARL

Yeah I do, you coming to mine?

ABBY

No, you wanna do it here?

CARL

Okay.

Abby and Carl start making out, Abby starts undoing his trousers. Carl pulls her knickers down and they start having sex against the wall.

EXT. ANDY'S FRONT DOOR

Stacey pokes her head out of the door to make sure she doesn't see anyone she knows. Andy makes her jump.

ANDY

No one will see you.

STACEY

How do you know?

ANDY

I just do.

Stacey tries to straighten her hair as she leaves, and gives Andy a big kiss.

STACEY

Thank you for a good time.

ANDY

(Smile on his face)

Pleasure, you wait til next time.

Stacey goes red as she leaves, but she also has a huge smile on her face.

INT. ROB AND STACEY’S HOUSE. DAY

There is a picture of Rob and his family on the fireplace. Also a couple of pictures of him and sister. Just as Rob sits down with his dinner, Stacey walks through the door.

STACEY

Anyone home?

Stacey plays with her hair to make it straight, just in case anyone is actually home.

ROB

Hi Stacey, I cooked dinner, it's in the oven, and where's your friend Abby?

Stacey freezes as soon as she hears Robs voice. She get herself set and enters the living room.
