The River of Us

Love is not a gift passed from one to another, it is the river that flows through all.

It carries us when we are weary, it sings when we are silent, it heals when we are broken.

We are not apart, only different waves on the same endless sea.

When I hold you, I hold myself.

When I bless you, I am blessed.

Love is the river of us,

always moving,

always whole.

 

I love the ethereal composition of this piece, but I chose to change it to a lady’s profile — someone I can relate to more deeply. The profile form allows me to see a part of myself in the painting, turning the artwork into not only a creative practice but also a personal reflection:)
