This has such wonderful atmosphere, Kris, the glow of the fire and the soft steam create a really convincing sense of heat and movement. Getting a little lost is part of the process with scenes like this, and you handled the complexity beautifully.

Thanks, Will. I love action paintings and attempting to depict human figures with gesture, facial expression and body posture with realism. If you do it wrong, you are totally busted. Because as humans we all know if it is wrong. 

You’re absolutely right, Kris, we are incredibly sensitive to the human figure, even the smallest shift in gesture can change everything. That is what makes it challenging, but also so rewarding when it works. The fact that you are drawn to that difficulty says a lot. Keep pushing into it, that is where the magic happens. 😊
