Post-Holidays, I realized I ought to send Thank You cards to family who sent us gifts from far away. Since I've been meaning to add stationery to what I offer in my shop, I thought I'd go ahead and design a card, rather than purchasing one, thus killing 2 birds with one stone. ;)
I'm very pleased with the design so far, especially since I've never really done hand-lettering before a few weeks ago! Lots & lots of typography & design, but nothing truly by hand. Excited to see where adding texture will take this!!

I had cards printed up & thought I'd share with you the final product!!

Since I can't seem to stop, here are some more color versions I'm playing with.

Adjusted the opacity on the texutres a bit so that they weren't washed out when printed. Not sure how much you can tell on screen.

Added texture to the green version!! I think it really took it to a whole new level! I even think the texture might have done a whole lot more for this one than it did for the blue. :)

I've added some texture & am playing around with it a bit. I don't feel like it's there yet, and everything is really subtle, so I'm not sure if you can even really see what's going on, but thought I'd share & see if anyone has any feedback on the texture. What's working. What isnt. . . ?? :)

Just created some textures that I'm about to try out!!

Maybe I'll end up doing a set of them. :)

Some of the things I was staring at while sketching. ;)
I've never (successfully) done curlicues/flurishes, so I really looked to Mary Kate's Sweet Tooth design for help.
