Surprise and Delight
I work in hospitality, I had a guest who came for a late check in around 2 am. He was exhausted, and he was frustrated because they computer system was acting up. I gave him his complimentary waters but I through in a clift bar as a bonus for the check-in inconvenience. That made his day with the surprise and delight. Adding little treats here and there and bonuses will be something I include in my regular hospitality customer service.
