Thank you Umashree for this class. I have painted with gouache many times, and this is the first time I hear about using white to blend colors. While it makes sense for blending blue and orange to avoid muddy brown, I find that it makes the yellow-orange sunset paler, less colorful, so I skipped it in the yellow-orange part. I did use white to blend colors for the reflection of the sunset in the river though, to make the colors softer. And for the clouds, since clouds is one thing I always struggle with.
