Dear Carrie, Thank you so much — your comment truly touched me. It means a lot that you felt the emotion and intention behind the painting. When I painted Sun-Kissed Journey, I kept remembering a moment from our trip to Africa — seeing young men standing at the port with a deep sense of emptiness in their eyes. That stayed with me. So I painted from a mother’s heart — the hope every mother holds for her child. After I finished, my son (who has mental health challenges) asked for this painting — the only one he has ever requested. I knew something in it spoke to him. The video and music became a message of a mother’s love that can stay with him always. And to answer your question — I used Grok to create the animation for the video. Thank you again for your teaching and inspiration — and for seeing the heart in this piece. I share watercolor animation videos on my YouTube channel and feature a guest artist every Sunday. Hi Haeshing - another great painting - you are really getting into this and coming on a treat. I really like the title you've given it too. You've achieved a lovely soft sky, and the movement in the dress is really well painted. The skin colour is great, some nice gentle contrasts. My only suggestion would be to add a bit more colour to the little boy's head so it's not quite so speckled. I genuinely enjoyed working on this painting. In fact, it’s my son’s favorite, and he even asked me to frame it for him — that made it extra special to me. 
I only started painting on April 8th, and I’ve found your lessons incredibly helpful. You are so patient, and each class begins from the very basics, which makes it easy for beginners like me to follow. Your attention to detail and clear guidance have made a big difference in my learning journey. 
Also, I hope you will consider offering more paintings like this one — of mothers and children. This kind of subject truly speaks to the hearts of many women, especially grandmothers like me. It helps us express deep emotions and sentiment that are hard to put into words.
