Thank you Irina for another great class and for sharing all that research and color mixes with us :)

I recently bought a new set of watercolors by Koh-I-Noor and decided to use this class to explore the colors a bit more. I have the "brilliant" set, (they have an "opaque" one as well with more muted colors) and I'm still adjusting to the vibrancy of this one... So this class was the perfect way to play around with my new colors.

My summer color palettes

For the project - Icecream Cone - I decided to use the 'summer glow' palette. 

 

Sketch on watercolor paper Canson Aquarelle XL 300gsm (first time using an pencil-eraser, and it's so helpful for details) 

 

First washes

Deepening the color (the cone was my favorite part to paint)

First wash on the wraper
