Stripey Stripes

April has been so busy that I've found little time to paint, and then Friday, I developed some kind of crud. Blah. But all these colors make me happy.

The image with the blue/green and orange/purple was another paper test - Baohong academy and Fuummuuii (respectively) - I can't tell much difference in the two, other than size. I was re-listening to your mark making as I began mark making on these, and realized you added some liquid gold, so I added some silver in some of the areas that were still wet, then pulled out my Signos for other marks, and was pleasantly surprised at the results they gave, so I'll be using them more frequently. I especially loved the way the silver settled into the "clouds" on the blue/green one, and the gold Signo squiggly lines on the orange/yellow one.

I think the black marks were too heavy for this piece - I need to get some smaller Poscas and/or use other pens for finer lines. I finally own a 14B pencil, so I'm enjoying using that.

Another fun class. I hope to get caught up with some of the other classes very soon. (You've actually made me excited about trying collage! LOL!)

Thanks for all you do, Denise!
