I have to admit, this project gave me trouble at first.  Then, using my chain maille experience, I decided to look at the size of the staples.  Sure enough, standard staples are a different size than standard staples are here in the US.  Once I got the right sized staples, everything was great and this project was a lot of fun!  I even kept going after making pendants and made a bracelet, earrings, and an ornament.  For most of the pieces, I used mirrored mosaic tiles, but I also used a square glass cabochon and a faux rhinestone.  I am sure there are a lot of things that would work.
