Solitude on the Road

I used this class as inspiration to select 4 photos out of dozens from a recent solo road trip. These were taken on my old Pentax K1000 and printed at a local lab. These were all taken around Yellowstone. Although some of these shots were taken around sizable crowds of people I love how it feels like there isn't any life for miles. To me this captures how I felt at the time, alone with myself but not really lonely. 

 

Solitude at Home

These photos I took specifically for the class. Living alone for the first time in years I've been taking a lot of walk trying to find my place in my new neighborhood. I wanted to use instant film which I find a very social medium to juxtapoz the feelings of being alone in a new space.
