It funny you say that - I’m a chronic over thinker even with my art. I usually paint painfully slowly, trying to control everything (which is impossible, particularly with watercolour!) For this exercise I actually managed to loosen up a little bit, didn’t overwork it and didn’t overthink it. And the result is pretty good! Based on a brief look at the classes you teach, it looks like I channelled the key principles you teach for this piece without even knowing it! I should do it more often ☺️ thanks for the compliment

The whole piece feels calm, natural, and unforced in such a beautiful way. And I love hearing that connection with the ideas I teach too haha. You definitely tapped into that gentle “don’t overwork it” mindset naturally
