Snowy Watercolor Christmas Tree
This was a fun easy relaxing class Katrina. I used embossing powder for the star. I haven’t used it in 15 years and my emboss pen was still liquid enough. When I was applying the gouache snow with toothbrush, it was splattering really fine faint snow. I tried 3 different toothbrushes and a texture splatter brush, all to no avail. I then thought I would try my W&Newton white gouache and that did the trick. The gouache I used first was from US Art Supply and I don’t think it is a very good gouache. I think I will take it out of my rotation for use. It is almost gone anyway. It’s great that I was able to rectify this problem as I have had issues using white gouache on other paintings. Never really goes on good, now I know why.
Thanks for offering this wonderful class to create a beautiful Christmas outdoor scene. Diana :)
