Side-eye Girl

I previously only used the frame animation option a few times to create a gif, so having this class explain the video frame animation option was really interesting. I re-watched the videos several times to make sure I understood what was going on; the bonus videos at the end of the tutorial were also really helpful.

Here is my basic sketch. I didn't draw the eyes in this version because I knew I would deal with them separately.

I started with two eye positions; closed and open. After that I followed the steps to create a middle position; eyes half closed. Once I had the animation looping I started to add easing so that I created a 1/4 and 3/4 eyes open drawing. Finally I added two drawings for the side-eye movement.

So here she is, my side-eye girl. I messed around for ages with the timing on the eyes, I prefer this slightly slower version.

Many thanks to Joy and Noelle for a great class :D
