Beautiful still lifes are onr of my favorite types of painting to view. This shell was a funn simple subject to try. I went a little too overboard on my white. I wanted to capture the translucent quality of the shell as the light was shinning through it and the highlights on top. I may take a damp brush and tissue and make the highlights more subtle.
