Here are my three drawings as demonstrated in the class. Don't worry if your shapes are not absolutely perfect - the aim is to practise the skills, not create perfection!

For the second technique, try to slow down the whole process as you look, then draw. Look. Draw. Remember to keep your pencil on the paper at all times, and draw in short bursts as you observe each bit of the fruit.

Here's the third one - concentrating on relaxing the hand and on trying the alternative pencil grip. (I know, maybe next time I shouldn't choose a carrot!!) It might feel awkward at first but it's a useful technique to have in your toolkit when your normal grip is feeling too tense.
