Scrappy demin
I up cycle a lot of old denim and always have bit s and pieces.
I made two pieces of scrap patch. One with larger pieces and on with smaller and more random pieces.

The larger piece became a shopping bag and the more random piece is now a hat.

The firm and sturdy fabric was well suited to these projects. With the hat instead of lining the brim I repeated the patch process on both sides of the pattern piece. It gave a lovely firm brim. Also I sew the seams by overlapping them and stitching this like the patchwork , so no bulky seams.
This is now one of my favorite things to do between projects and I love seeing the scraps used.
