Hi Haeshing - well done on completing another lovely painting - your lavender fields are lovely. I really like the colours you've used in the sky, they matches beautifully with the lavender colours. When painting future skies, try pre-wetting the paper a bit more thoroughly so the colours blend into each other - don't be afraid to give the paper a good shake to encourage them. Some good texture on the lavender bushes. best wishes, Carrie

Hi Carrie,
I’m so glad you noticed the sky and my attempt at wet-on-wet! I’ve really been working on that. Lately, it’s been a bit of a struggle—outside temperatures are hitting 90°F, and even indoors it stays around 78°F. I use Arches paper, but the water dries so quickly in this heat! I’ve been shaking the paper well just as you taught us, and I’m hoping once the weather cools down, the room temperature will give me more time to refine my wet-on-wet technique.
