Scene and Sequel: Vengeful Dogfight

GOAL: To avenge the death of her father Captain Carter Grey's.

CONFLICT: Her father's killer rogue commander Apien Vexx has a large ship and excellent combat skills.

DISASTER: Half the crew wants to lock her away in cell due to her insubordination.

EMOTION: Due to her inexperience Kaliopi fears she won't win this battle.

THOUGHT: She has come this far to break the chain of command and take the ship for her own for her vengeance so she owes it to the crew to win this battle with no casualties.

DECISION: She gives out commands to the crew as if she were the captain.

ACTION: Kaliopi puts her plan in motion and takes Apien's ship head on with a new confidence.

As she stood where he stood Kaliopi felt heavy as if the boots she was filling were weighing her down the crew had eye's on her and they mistrusted, she struggles to find her voice in this moment of deafening silence.

"This is not the ship of a sheep it is of a wolf! she thoomed, a war hero, a friend, a father! we face nothing more than a traitor in a fancy vessel nothing more! It was our captain's mission OUR mission too see this through".

The more she spoke the more uneasy she felt but she had bullied her emotion's to push out this rousing speech. "We have the galaxies most capable ship and crew he spent an extra year to handpick everyone on board"

"If your on this ship your his family and i'll be damned if I'm just going to sit by and let a traitor kill my family, MY CAPTAIN, YOUR CAPTAIN! Crew members start to rise up one after the other.

"You can arrest me for insubordination after this is all said and done but we will kill Apien before that happens, "Your going to get us all killed" Yelled a crew member Kaliopi gathers herself trying to calm down.

"Commander Vexx will do that even if you were to arrest me nothing will change, It's better to go down with a fight but I plan on living and now that i have assumed control of this vessel you all will live".

She's got the battle experience training from her father on how to run a ship and how to lay out a successful battle plan but that was only during training exercises and this was the real thing, she doubted herself.

But one thing was true she learned from the best and she herself was a prodigy at being a tactician and when she put her mind to something she always saw it through, she came this far so she will make this plan work.

"Helmsman Kincaid activate forward shield's" yells Kaliopi, Ms. Ivers get me a sit rep on our fuel, the crew woman responds with a nod, "Sarge Jemison prep your men to board the vessel your out in five".

Her men reply "Yes ma'am" She moves as if she was born to do this and nothing else, as she commands her crew within her body birth's a new fire, a new confidence that gives her heart to enact her vengeance.
