Scary Cats

Scary Cats - student project

Thank you for a great class, Tom. It has inspired me to try out acrylic markers (already had them but haven't used them much). I was in an inktober slump because I put too much pressure on myself. I needed a fun change of medium to get out of it, so here we are Halloween themed cat portraits.

Here's the plan:

1. PURPOSE: Get out of a creative rut, have fun with the subject, try out new media.

2. MEDIA: Acrylic markers, colored pencils, anything I have laying around that I haven't used much lately.

3. SCHEDULE: Daily if possible, at least I'll try.

4. SUBJECT: Halloween themed cat portraits.

5. SHARE: Scan them in. Post on my instagram an skillshare. I already started posting on instagram.

I realize that it's the end of October already but if I hope I'll manage to do at least a week.

What I learned from doing this project:

1. Don't be afraid to change the medium, if it's not working out.

2. Pick a fun subject (very obvious I know)

3. I like using a chisel tip pen for inking and I like working with more color.
