Gorgeous use of monochromatic approach! Update on why few projects from me: For the near future, I'm not able to easily get to my painting and artsy "studio" area. Just spent 5 days for tests and evaluation in hospital to learn there's some surgery in my near future. Can't wait to recover. Meanwhile, I can use my laptop to keep current on art-friends and classes.

Sorry to hear about health setbacks. Hope you soon be well. I will be on break for several weeks also caring for my mother in Caribbean.

Carmen, I hope all goes well for you as you care for your mother. I know that can be a challenging job, so take care of yourself too. I'm thankful I cared for my mom and hope this will be a time you feel good about.

Finally finished..what a struggle!  Too long and too many mistakes but i persisted.

Look at these some beautiful results !😍I am so happy to see you tried different papers for the technique Carmen. That's how we understand how pigment and paper works. OOuch! It hurts when we ruin expensive paper especially Arches. 🥹 Yes that could be due to thicker paint or sea salt . As sea salt reacts differently.  But overall brilliant works. The gradient on Arches one is so smooth though. I would love to see how you will work on other three projects. All the best! Happy painting 💙

Glad you finished all four projects and they look amazing ! The snow textures in project 3 &amp; 4 turned out really beautiful . Yes salt needs lots of patience 😅

Project 4 finally! I don't do well in very long classes. This was cellulose and paint bled on the frame but it actually looks nice as a border.

Project 3..ice lake. Finally combination of table and sea salt seems to behave. Arches

I tried experiment 1 was cellulose with table salt

2 was sketchbook 100% cotton table salt

3 was failed attempt. I guess paint too thick and sea salt and Yes my expensive Arches.  Also I gave up with pine trees.  Still posted. Will try complete other assignments too.
