Thanks for the lesson, Yaya!

This was my first time using Rive and you've definitely cleared some knowledge gaps up.

I decided to explore some of the design tools and made my own Subscribe button and did a little bit of custom animation on the bell.

I had to factor in the transition time and move the keyframes afterwards to get it to show up.

I got the hover state working as a separate layer as instructed, but because I'm moving and animating other elements it was tricky to get both the click and the hover to play nicely, so I changed the logic and included a hover on state in my click and redirected to the clicked state. I've included a GIF of the state machine graph for reference.
