Encuentra tu estilo fotográfico: crea un aspecto único y coherente

Hi Sean. I added a recent photo to my project. I'm really pleased with it and would really appreciate your feedback if you have time.

Awesome mood board Richard! I left a comment inside the board as well. I think Chat GPT did a good job of finding some common larger themes across those images. With that said, there aren't many notes about more specific stylistic elements light exposure, color, or composition. Breaking down these images into their stylistic elements can give us a much clearer blueprint for the visual style we want to pursue. Does this make sense? If you're having a tough time with this, feel free to screenshot this comment and send it to Chat GPT with a screenshot of your moodboard. That should give you a good starting point. Thanks again for sharing!

Here's what Chat GPT came up with: 🔶 1. Light as Atmosphere
Your images already use natural light beautifully — you could make this a defining feature.

Experiment with “transitional light” — dawn, late afternoon, or foggy conditions that create soft gradients and ambiguity.

Try underexposing slightly to keep the highlights muted and maintain that reflective tone.

Consider making light itself your subject — e.g., how it lands on everyday objects, textures, or people.

🔶 2. Color Restraint & Palette Identity
Your palette is cohesive — soft, earthy, natural. You could push this into a signature color language.

Develop a limited palette (for example: warm neutrals + powder blues + muted greens).

Desaturate selectively — keep one tone dominant to unify your series.

Think of color as emotional tone: cooler light for quietness; warmer tones for human connection.

🔶 3. Composition & Space
You have a lovely calm rhythm to your compositions. You could refine that into a consistent visual grammar.

Embrace negative space and let small human figures or objects feel “lost” in the frame — this evokes solitude and reflection.

Use the rule of thirds loosely, allowing slight asymmetry that feels unplanned but balanced.

Focus on line and geometry (paths, fences, tree lines, horizons) to suggest journey and transience.

And some ideas about future direction:Summary
You’re developing a visual style rooted in stillness, observation, and
connection — grounded in the ordinary but emotionally resonant. To take it
forward, focus on refining your use of light, color restraint, and spatial calm
until they become instantly recognizable as “your way of seeing.”

Thanks for your help and guidance Sean. It's awesome!

Honestly Chat GPT did a pretty good job breaking it down! I think that will give you a ton of clarity on some of the stylistic aspects you should chase in your work. Awesome job Richard, I hope this activity was helpful for you. Would you be willing to leave a short review for this class? It would be a massive help! Thank you again Richard.
