Returning to Art After Letting it Go in School

Hello! I want to say first and foremost That I really enjoyed this class. I'm finding it surprisingly difficult to find positive, encouraging material to help study and practice and it was like a breath of fresh air to watch these lessons.

When I was younger I used to be very into art and took classes every single year, it was my safe and happy place. In highschool however, lots of adults discouraged me from pursuing it in comparison to other fields and so I dropped it very early on into.

In the meantime I've tried lots of things from computer programing and graphic design to culinary arts and working with children. None of it has really made me happy like art has and so when my husband and I moved into our first apartment I started painting on... well everything... Walls, shelves, flowers boxes xD

A few more years of that and I've just recently gotten my very first Art tablet and Have been encouraged by friends and family to pursue art again and oh wow, has it made me happy. Every day I wake up wanting to create and draw and it's Exciting!

That being said, the first obstacle I've run into is that I've forgotten a good chunk of the foundations and typing "how to draw" into google is like a sea of overwhelming answers so I just wanted to say thank again for this class because it was everything I needed.

I'm still figuring out what style and brushes I want to use but here are some recent pieces I've worked on to get a feel for drawing digitally :3
