Last year I tried the Loomis method and I wasn't pleased with the results. 
This year I try again and got a little better with head simplification.

I can do the planar head from the front, side, and 3/4 view, but the sixth is missing because I can't do the rear 3/4 view (behind the ear). That one is kind of hard. I'll try again some other time.

The Loomis method on the skull from any direction is a lot easier and fun for me.
