Red Oak
Since I could not find (with reasonable hassle) a perfect photo of a red oak tree (wich I love for its colours!), I went for a leaf only for today. I found this on flickr:

Since the veins are so close to white, I used my white wax marking crayon and rubbed it heavily. So the veins kept off the water, but they also got thicker than I like it. Well, there is still something to learn…
Working with six different colours took more time than I expected - parts were already dry when I wanted them still wet. Well, here too, there is still something to learn :-)
Nevertheless I like the result!
This autumn I will take a lot of photos from red oaks. There are two populations I regularly visit anyway. So I will revisit this lesson soon!
