I love the different materials you've used for the house, from the stone base to brick tile roof ^^ For improvement - decide if light source comes from the left or right. That will give you a more dynamic looking building, but also the shapes will be more defined and emphasized. For example, if you decide that the light source is on the left side - then you can darken the right side of the roof. :)

Is there an easy way to do that in Aseprite? Is there a way to darken entire areas without doing each different color separately?

It's one of the less known features, but yes, you can do it. Once you select the brush (pencil), in the properties of the tool change it from ''Simple Ink'' to ''Shading''. Then select the colors in your palette that you wanna change (in this case all the reds for the roof), and then paint over. Then all colors will be replaced by 1 tone darker (or lighter depending on how you've setup your palette). 
This is a bit more advanced tool to use, but very useful. :)

Hi! I decided to hold off on most of the elements of a full mock-up for now since you now have a lesson on more advanced shading techniques and textures, but the process of making a building piqued my interest. 
What can I improve with this style?
