Project: Interior Character Sketch
For this project, I choose a bird as the subject for an interior space. Thankfully, the instructor, Charles, provided a plethora of ideas and concepts to think about which made it easier to construct this drawing.
I began by considering the body shape and landed on an elongated lemon shape because it worked well with retaining the bird's airplane-like body shape. From there I began to populate the bird's interior space by setting up walls and filling it with objects and inhabitants.
The interior is one floor with a couple of rooms and plays on the idea of worms, usually considered bird food and ground dwellers, as having a joy ride in the air.
