Request to be exempted from the mandatory meeting

Dear Mr. Mark,

Thank you for approving my vacation last week.

This morning, I got an email about a mandatory meeting. It clashes with the approved vacation on Friday.

Please can I be exempted from attending the meeting?. I will be unable to attend the meeting in person. I am available for a Zoom meeting if needed.
