I feel like I learned a lot through this class, though I struggled a lot with some technical aspects. I wish shape creation had been described a little more clearly. The shapes I made at the beginning were hard to work with later on because I hadn't made them clearly. By the time I was doing shadows and highlights, I feel like I got it down and was able to make better, easier to work with shapes. I also struggled with the pattern on the leggings- when I applied the pattern it filled the shape and made it clear. I spent a long time online trying to figure out why it was happening and never figured out how to make the pattern apply on top of the existing color. I ended up making a copy of the legs that I filled with the pattern and then set on top of the exiting ones. I would love to know why this happened and how to apply patterns more easily in the future, as I feel this is a very useful tool for textures. All things considered I am very proud of the way this turned out and plan to work on more like it to improve my illustrator skills.
