Pradi's discoveries!! :)
Hi everyone! I'm Pradeepa and I'm a research scholar, I've started sketching a couple of years ago and my current obsession is watercolor. Painting/art is my escape from stressful academia, I will update my projects every now and then! A big heartful thanks to the lovely teacher Madhumika for teaching this class! :)
Project 1- planning with circles

I like how it turned out, it makes me happy! hope you like it too!!
Second painting - Texturing with watercolors

I think I overdid the salt textures.. But it turned out to be okay... What do you think?!
Mosaic effect
I find it hard to maintain sharp edges in watercolor, also I'm not satisfied with my paint. I think I need to change them.

I intentionally added lines in the mosaic painting
Project 4 - Transparencies in watercolor

I love this floral design in the background of simple geometric shapes. I wonder what it would be to paint and doodle with geometric shapes.
I kind of smudged the paints, I accepted that it's also a learning process!
Project 5 - Negative painting
last painting of the first week :) I'm getting a sense of accomplishment

I love this negative painting effect. I hope you like it too.
Week 2 - Project 1
I loved this exercise. At first, I have no idea what to paint on the leaves but after some time I made up some patterns.

And I thought it's fun to add ladybugs. It's similar to the leaf polka dot pattern. :) but I couldn't bring the colors exactly through my mobile camera. There it was green and blue. But the photograph looks like it's all sort of blue.
Week 2 - project 2
I really am stressed out with academia. But painting this series was a little fun to me. As you all have holiday season. I'm gonna have exam season!!

I have added a sparkle snowflake design. I feel like Christmas has come :)
I could complete all these remaining paintings now!! :) So happy spending a lot time in painting

I love this leaf painting!!

The last painting is my favorite. I love to leave it simply, instead of making patterns in the pots.

So, what do you think about my try for this week? :)
