When I was about 9 years old, my aunt (classically trained) decided to teach me how to play piano since she taught my older cousin (who was clearly some kind of musical prodigy). Trying to remember all the lines and spaces was a nightmare (especially since she didn't have fun acronyms). Since then, learning to read music has been my kryptonite. But now I'm having fun, which is a little weird to say. I think it's just me being happy that I'm finally getting it after so long. It's a little difficult since there's the treble clef and bass clef and trying to commit two sets of notes to memory, but I'm confident I'll get there. I think I'm going to get some more sheets and just practice identifying the notes for a little while!
