I’m not sure which one I like better. They both look great. I do think the red/orange on the balloon definitely stands out more on the second iteration. And the red/orange is definitely more in line with the real poppy flower color. Great work!I really appreciate you taking the time to post your work so we can all learn from each other. Let me know what you’d like to paint in future classes. Your project turned out great! I'm glad you tried out the palette knife. It gives your work a very painterly look that I enjoy. I love your color choices overall and the beautiful, expressive brushwork in the sky as well as the more impressionist brushwork in the mid-ground. You're the first one in the class to paint the balloons! Well done!
