I love cats - I pet them, I play with them, I rescue them and have to wake up every 4 hours to feed them, and when I am struggling with lack of sleep, I pick them up and snort them! A good lung full of cat cures whatever ails ya’! 

In my art study, I try to build myself a curriculum where I take a set of classes in sequence to try and build my skills - I plan to do some cat drawings and paintings, so this is a good starting point. I did the practice a few times and will continue with different poses to build my understanding of feline forms - I found faces difficult, but I’ll take the portrait class in the not-too-distant future.

I used HB pencils and wax-based pencils for this project. I am studying ink drawing, but I wanted to maintain my process on the paper using pencil, as this helps me see how to improve.
