My name is Jace - I'm an illustrator and painter based in Seattle, WA. I work in a joyful, impressionism-inspired style with vibrant colors, in both digital and traditional mediums.

 

I was browsing your site yesterday and read a few of your "Fabulous People" interviews - I love them! The one about Sok Grant particularly resonated with me.

 

Have you ever considered using illustrated portraits instead of photos for these pieces? In my experience, artwork is a huge factor in getting people to pause and click instead of scrolling past. Professional headshots do the job, but illustration is what grabs attention - and it would let each portrait carry some of the same warmth and personality that comes through in your writing.

 

I specialize in character portraits, and over the past 4+ years I've created portraits and other illustrations to support nonprofit and fundraising work - creating pieces that promote events, simplify complex stories, and pull audiences in a way photos alone can't.
