Loved your class and learned a lot! Here is a pineapple repeating pattern I created. First, I drew the pineapples using a felt pen on paper.

 

Then I scanned them in. I pulled them into Photoshop first to knock out the background (bc I'm a little more comfortable in Pshop), then placed that PNG into Illustrator. Then I used the live trace to get them into individual elements. 

Once that was done, I colored each element using the live paint bucket tool and set them up in the pattern that worked for me. I know you didn't use the paint bucket, but I think that tool is fun and wanted to try it out :) 

Anyway, here's what I ended up with!

 

I want to set this up on Zazzle or Society 6 as a dish rag or tea towel! I think that would be fun :)
